We modeled a tooth in Maya, using multiple tools and tricks.
The first trick we did was to add segments to a cube, so that when it was smoothed, it wouldn't turn into a sphere and stay relatively square.
We used our skills from previous lessons to bevel and extrude certain areas to create the shape of the tooth.
We also learned that pressing 2 will smooth the selected model, and pressing 1 will unsmooth it back to a polygon skeleton.
The picture shows the smoothed tooth I modeled, as well as the skeleton of the unsmoothed skeleton.
